When clients give it to you like it is. The deal. Themselves. Relaxed. Things happen. We listen. Eyes open. Hanging out as friends with them. The simple moments are good enough. It’s an excellent day, when we have a chance to make a memory last forever. Time flashes. Lives change. Calley and Derek will have this to remember the point leading up to their wedding day. Their life together feels the way things should most always be. Special thanks to BD HOME and Ludivine for allowing us to film within their locations.
As we approach our first year launch date at CHOATE HOUSE, we prepare for the most important project set to film that very day. We've joined an incredible mission to elevate awareness for those battling a life-threatening illness. We hope you'll mark your calendar for May 4th. The best part, you could be the cure. Details soon...
Happiness. It comes at the strangest time. You never know when you’ll meet the person to change your life forever. After connecting six years ago, Kristen and Grant were engaged in the city of Rome. When you see these two interact, you know soon enough how perfectly they compliment one another. Their story is unique as it follows the path of Grant’s beloved grandparents who were married for more than fifty years. His grandmother was one of the very first females to graduate from the Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Oklahoma. Years beyond the traditional roles of women at that time, she was also an aviator like Grant. While they shared a passion for flying and graduated from the same engineering department, Kristen and Grant’s grandfather attended the university’s Architecture program. Our time with them revisiting the campus and up in the air felt sacred, as Grant would have to leave the following day for a long deployment. There is so much to be said for those who selflessly dedicate their lives to serve our country. Risking themselves and putting their own families on hold to protect our freedom is an unbelievably huge gift we can easily overlook and forget. We’re looking forward to Grant’s safe return from Afghanistan for their wedding celebration next spring. Knowing Kristen will have their “kids” Dexter and Forrest to keep her company, we send them big love and wishes to be reunited again soon.
The loveliest two. What a beautiful night.
A quick show reel of what we’ve been up to since we launched 10 months ago. Gave a rush to look back at the faces and memories.
Meet Margo! 12 year old entrepreneur, Margo, is the creator and founder of Honestly Margo, a new beauty brand offering all natural lip balm.
As a new client of ours, we quickly learned Margo has always been one to pursue some form of business. From trying an online art business at 8 years old to a fun pet couture line adventure, the biggest idea brewing has most recently been realized. Her mom, Irene, and biggest supporter of helping Margo with the latest inventive and purposeful product development couldn't be more excited at the buzz in town surrounding her daughter's dream.
Honestly Margo Lip Balms proprietary formulas are created with essential oils along with wholesome ingredients like beeswax and coconut oil and can be found in Cayman’s in Norman, OK, Plenty Mercantile in Oklahoma City, OK, soon in Luxe Objects in Oklahoma City, OK. There will be more to come, including a brand new website, so stay in touch with Margo HERE.
We produced this video to help spread Margo's inspiring story. High-fives to the amazingly talented creative team at CooperHouse who rocked her branding! There's no doubt she will continue to dream big in this life and do many great things. Cheers to you, Miss Margo xx
Some hidden CHOATE HOUSE footage in a recent spot for Proctor & Gamble celebrating their 175th Anniversary. Surreal for us to have contributed footage to this major commercial. Who knew;) | The Power of Everyday
We love documenting life with a creative eye, whether we’re working with couples or shooting lifestyle commercial projects. Identifying with a contemporary photojournalism style full of connectedness and character, we offer thoughtful wedding filmography and photography built to reflect the unique personalities of our subjects. We limit the number of weddings we schedule per year to insure clients receive proper attention to every little detail. Our feeling is wedding days should be captured so naturally, when you look back at the recording you feel "right there." We approach each new couple with a great deal of enthusiasm and passion to capture their story. It’s our job to make the entire process move with ease and deliver visual memories to enjoy for a lifetime.

We jumped fast at the chance to take a spin away from a more traditional senior portrait session. Mason’s parents hired us with the wish to document the life of their son and the elements he loves most at 18 years old. This project was such a solid experience for us. This is but one example of the many families working hard to raise grounded, respectful and purposeful young men. Mason is: the reigning homecoming king, an honor student, the recipient of a full university scholarship, a track and football star who set several new records, making plans to become the next President of the United States, a late night watcher of Jon Stewart & Colbert with his mom four nights a week, tired of his 17 year old brother stealing his clothes, good big brother to his little sister and reads to her often, a fan of the movies American Psycho and Babe (yes, the pig movie), a guy who drives a sweet vintage 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe that suits him well, the son who has never given his mom a minute of trouble & knows how to pray.
Before we officially began shooting weddings, we received an email from one of the loveliest individuals to date. Berkley came across our work and knew we were a fit to record their wedding day in Richmond, Virginia. We adore traveling, so it was a treat to be able to visit such a beautiful part of the country. Berkley and Colin wanted their wedding to be a celebration of the people they love dearly. Although a larger wedding on her family’s farm, the evening felt intimate and romantic. We found ourselves mesmerized not only by the subjects but also by the sheer beauty of every thoughtfully designed detail her mother helped to create. Cheeks were flushed from dancing by the end of the night and everyone looked so incredibly happy. As we drove back to our hotel, we left feeling completely in love with life and blessed to find such crazy good clients to share it with.
Lifestyle portraits accompanied by filmography is something we’re obsessed with and are embracing any chance to create for others. Hailing from New York, Anders made his way to Oklahoma to train at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site after being selected to join the US Rowing Team. We literally shot just under one hour on the river like mad with fierce adrenaline, as the sky filled with heavy storm clouds, lightening and severe tornadoes rolled into town. Soon after this was released, Anders won the men’s eight at the 2012 World Rowing Senior Non-Olympic Championship Trials and unexpectedly was extended an offer to sign with a major modeling agency.
Nicole and Jimmy are dear friends of ours. We met in college and have followed each other’s lives to this day. Our children stair-step one another, attend the same school, and have sleepovers like best friends do. We totally love it when people we know ask us to shoot for them. Not only do we know who they are but where they come from. This session took place in the home where Jimmy’s grandfather was raised. The farm has been around for generations in Enid, Oklahoma. Most of the time on location we found ourselves covered with goose bumps from the energy and depth of history surrounding us. This experience reminded us that the memory of family and love shared in a home never dies but lives forever.
Sonic Corp., an Oklahoma City-based, publicly held company, is the nation’s largest chain of drive-in fast-food restaurants with more than 3,500 drive-ins located coast to coast. Specializing in fresh, made-to-order meals, SONIC is best known for its signature menu items and personal, friendly Carhop service. Throughout its more than 50-year history SONIC has enjoyed one of the highest customer frequency rates in the quick-service restaurant industry. The company continues to expand, delivering unique items to SONIC customers throughout the country. We had a total love affair with SONIC as kids and today. Couldn't be happier to be creating for them.
The New York Times wrote an article about a series of commercials our work was featured in. The firm Coldwell Banker budgeted a hefty $15 million for this campaign celebrating the "value of a home" and began airing this spring with Tom Selleck narrating. "The values are brought to life in a television commercial that cranks the emotional dial to 11, or maybe 12. The vignettes, photographed with a gauzy, well-lit look, celebrate “about 50,000 memories and a hundred thousand smiles,” which are generated, according to the campaign, by living in a home of one’s own."
This was a humbling experience for us. We are so grateful.
Got my Mason family fix this week;)
